Thank you, to all who took the time to attend our first Town Hall Meeting at the Agricultural Bldg in Harrow this past Sunday, November 30th.
We especially appreciated the hearing the different views that were offered.
We are interested in a few immediate goals. First, we'd like to get this 'Blogspot' arranged by Chris Marrentte, up and running.
All I can say is, "Get on board and begin writing constructive thoughts and ideas." Your input is what makes a place like this a success.
We'd like feedback from those who attended Sunday's meeting....??
We'd like your ideas on how to boost attendance at similar meetings...?
Which days (or evenings) might be better for everyone..?? How frequently..??
Looking forward to hearing from everyone...!!

...and thanks to you too.
ReplyDeleteHow to boost attendance? Serve beer at the meetings. But, seriously, I think most people weren't even aware of the meeting, so boosting awareness is the critical step I think.
These meetings should be held at least once a month.
Congratulations on this website. I also think it's a good idea to have meetings once a month. What about the last Sunday of the month? The Agriculture Bldg. is a good place if it's available.
ReplyDeleteTwo things I remember from the meeting are:
Putting together a declaration next, not a petition;
Finding a supportive lawyer who will donate time to research repercussions of withholding taxes.
Carry on.
We need to keep the people of Harrow and Colchester South informed of the progress made by SCHAC. I believe the best night for meetings is Monday nites approx 7:00 pm. . THis gives people a chance to get home from work and have supper.Nobody wants to come out on the weekends. Weekends are for family.
